My Friend
When you shed a tear
my heart brushes it away
When you feel life’s hurts
my soul surrounds your sorrow
When I see your face, I smile

What a gift, to have a friend like that.
Thank you, Sandy. There are many things I don’t have in life, but I have many true close friends.
I was writing a card for my friend this morning and penned this poem for her.
Beautiful! 🙂
Thank you, SAB. I am glad for your visit!
This is a lovely description of friendship, Char.
Thank you, Patti. Where would we be without our dear friends, and especially our lifelong friends who know everything about us!
wooww.. so short, simple and sweet.. :-D.. i love it
Thank you, Abichica. Tanka and Haiku poems are always shorter. I appreciate your visit!
There are friends and then there are friends. An email from my best friend, I start to smile an feel better, even before opening. Thanks for sharing.
Isn’t that the truth. Contact with our close friends is just the BEST!
This poem made me smile. Very sweet!
I am glad I was able to put a smile on your face. Thank you for visiting!
Lovely poem from a lovely writer 🙂 You are lucky to have friends that inspire a poem like this and they are luckily for having a friend like you to write, and share, it!
Thank you, Marita. I do feel fortunate to have good friends. Life is hard enough as it is for most folks. Nice to have someone to rant, rave, and ‘get in trouble’ with. HA.
